Community Support Drives Success at AACORN’s 5th Annual Golf Outing
What an incredible day!
On June 16, 124 golfers gathered at The Prairies Golf Club for AACORN’s 5th Annual Golf Outing. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, golfers, prize donors, and supporters, the event raised more than $18,000 to support AACORN’s mission of providing life enrichment opportunities and residential options for adults with intellectual and developmental differences.
This year’s outing brought together 124 golfers, 26 sponsors, and 24 volunteers who helped create a welcoming and enjoyable experience from registration through the final prize drawings. Their support reflects the strength of a community that believes in creating opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental differences to learn, contribute, build relationships, and experience a strong sense of belonging.

We are especially grateful to the team at The Prairies Golf Club for being outstanding hosts. Their hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail helped create a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Throughout the day, golfers enjoyed friendly competition, great weather, and opportunities to connect with fellow supporters of AACORN. Volunteers worked behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, while sponsors and contributors helped create a first-class event experience.

The support from our community extended well beyond the golf course. More than 30 prizes were donated and awarded throughout the event, adding excitement to the day while helping raise additional funds in support of AACORN’s programs.
Most importantly, every sponsorship, registration, raffle ticket, volunteer hour, and donation helps sustain AACORN’s tuition-free programming. Together, these contributions create opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental differences to develop skills, build friendships, contribute to their community, and participate in meaningful experiences throughout adulthood.
