Every adult deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and belong—regardless of financial circumstances. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, foundation partners, and community supporters, AACORN is able to offer its unique tuition-free, farm based skill-building program to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Participants spend their days caring for animals, tending gardens, creating products, volunteering in the community, and building practical skills, confidence, friendships, and independence in a supportive farm environment.
Beyond the Farm
While the farm is at the heart of AACORN, learning doesn’t stop there. Participants build everyday skills through volunteer projects, community outings, shopping trips, and experiences that foster confidence, independence, and meaningful connections throughout Kalamazoo County.
