As AACORN continues to look toward the future, we are excited to share that Mary Pickett is now serving as AACORN’s Director of Communications & Community Engagement.

In her new role, Mary will focus on sharing AACORN’s story, building community connections and partnerships, supporting events, welcoming farm visitors, and helping more people understand the work happening here every day. She will also continue to build relationships throughout the community and help connect supporters with AACORN’s mission and future.Director of Communications & Community Engagement with farm visitors at AACORN farm in the goat pasture.

Communications and storytelling have become increasingly important as AACORN continues to grow. Mary will lead AACORN’s storytelling efforts through blog posts, social media, newsletters, and other communications, while continuing to spend time both out in the community and here at the farm—sharing what makes AACORN special and connecting new people to our mission.

AACORN is also looking toward the future and continuing to strengthen its leadership structure to support the organization’s growth. We are currently searching for our next Executive Director.

We’re excited about what lies ahead—and grateful that Mary will continue to play an important role in sharing AACORN’s story and helping strengthen relationships throughout our community.
