AACORN was given Conservation Farm of the Year award from the Kalamazoo Conservation District yesterday in recognition of our efforts to manage soil and water conservation. We are honored to receive this award and grateful for the support that the Kalamazoo Conservation District has provided in our ongoing efforts to take care of our little slice of heaven.

On your last day, we want to thank you for being a great mentor, leader, mother figure, and best friend. You have guided us at work in ways that no other manager has done. The Aacorn family miss having your presence on the farm everyday. You have no idea how much you have inspired everyone with your great qualities, dedication and vision. Aacorn wouldn’t have gone this far without your inspiration, guidance, encouragement, support, and love. One of our biggest challenges is having to say our farewells to a leader like you. When you have a moment to spare please come visit us. Goodbyes are hard but thankfully this is a see you later! Much love from your Aacorn family!

We want to say a very special thank you to Emily Birtles and the rest of the Matt Mulder Real Estate team. They selected AACORN to receive a generous $500 donation this quarter. We invited them out to the farm to say a heartfelt thank you, hold some baby goats, and take some pictures! Thank you again – we so appreciate having great community support from fantastic organizations like the Matt Mulder Real Estate Team.

Say hello to our first set of baby goats! Crystal, one of our Nubian goats gave birth to four furry babies on Wednesday April 13th. Introducing April Showers, May Flowers, June, and Julio. We are anticipating more baby goats within the next couple of days from our other three Nubian goats, Penny, Wendy, and Peaches. Keep an eye out for an update!
