Connection and Community
AACORN’s Spring Open House was a day full of connection, community, and some very special surprises.
Guests wanting to meet our animals were welcomed by Property Manager Autumn and participant Luke, who proudly introduced visitors to River and her week old baby boats.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, one of our does, Millie, gave birth just minutes before guests began to arrive—giving many attendees the unforgettable experience of meeting baby goats just hours after their arrival.

The farm was buzzing with energy as more than 100 people joined us to explore the property, learn more about AACORN’s mission, and experience the heart of what happens here each day. It was especially meaningful to see so many familiar faces alongside new friends discovering AACORN for the first time.

Our cornhole tournament was another highlight of the day – a full slotted roster and the team of SWMI Wireless took home the win after some friendly (and spirited!) competition.
Events like this remind us how powerful community can be. We are so grateful for the support, encouragement, and enthusiasm shown by everyone who attended.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly—and to every guest who spent time with us on the farm. We loved sharing this special day with you.
John Hamm says thanks for coming!
